Office space rental cost rise 10%

Rents for A class office space rose 10% in the first quarter, real estate consultancy firm Atisreal said in a report. Rents increased from EUR 21-22 per square meter in the end of 2007 to EUR 22-23 per square meter. in the first quarter. However, rents for B class offices remain in line with 2007 level, standing at some 14 - 16 euro/sqm.
Atisreal analysts estimate that by the end of the year, office space stock will reach 1.9 million square meters, after another 410,000sqm of office facilities are commissioned.
''The new office space supply on the market in northern Bucharest represents 48.3% of the stock due for completion between April-December 2008, some 370,000 sqm.,'' according to the Atisreal report.
