August construction works up 28% on year, 10.1% on month

Construction works in Romania rose 28% in August, compared to the previous year and were 10.1% higher, compared to the previous month, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) said. Residential projects increased by 29.6% on the year, non-residential constructions rose 28.4%, while the civil engineering sites increased by 27.5%.
Compared to July, civil engineering works rose 14.6% in August, non-residential buildings works increased by 5.7%, while residential buildings works went up 1.8%.
