Luton airport to get new flights to Romania
20 August 2009
Blue Air has announced plans to begin new flights at Luton Airport this winter.
The Romanian airline is to begin operating flights to Bacau, located at the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains.
According to the carrier, the destination is one of the most beautiful cities in Romania, ideally situated at the centre of Moldavia, alongside the River Bistrita.
The new flights between Luton and Bacau will operate twice a week and will be in addition to current services on the route, first launched in June.
Simon Harley, airline manager at Luton Airport, said: "We are delighted with the success of the Bacau service and to see winter flights now on sale with Blue Air.
"Low fares flying continues to make business and leisure travel increasingly accessible to millions of Europeans and the continuation of this now year-round service to Bacau provides yet more choice for our passengers."
